Terms of use

This is a translation. The version that applies is the Spanish one; if they differ, the Spanish text prevails.

By using aval you accept these terms. They’re short on purpose: read them.

1. The service

aval stores, organizes and prepares documents: scan, review, sign, convert and send. It’s in a testing stage, it’s free for now and each account has 1 GB of space. Features may change while it’s being developed.

2. Your account

You sign in with your Google, LinkedIn or GitHub account, and you can connect more than one. You’re responsible for what is done with your session: if you use a shared device, sign out when you’re done.

3. Your content

Your documents are yours. You give us only the permission needed to store them, process them (for example, to recognize their text) and show them to you. We don’t use them for anything else: the privacy policy explains it in detail.

Keep your own copies of what matters. We make backups, but aval doesn’t replace your archive.

4. Permitted use

You may not use aval to:

If any of this happens we may suspend the account and, if the law requires it, report it to the authorities.

5. The automatic aids

aval points out things a document may be missing and builds fact sheets of contracts (parties, clauses, figures). They are automatic aids: they can be wrong or miss something, and they are not legal advice. Before you sign or submit something important, read it yourself and, if needed, consult a professional.

The visible signature aval adds is an image on the document. A digital signature with a certificate has whatever legal value the certificate you use gives it.

6. Warranties and liability

aval is offered as is. We do our best to keep it working and your documents safe, but we don’t guarantee that it will always work or be free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from using aval or from being unable to use it.

7. Changes and closing your account

We may change these terms; if a change is important we’ll let you know in the app in advance. You can stop using aval whenever you want, delete your documents and ask us to delete your account. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give you enough notice to download your things.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Questions: contact@aval.site.
